The oil scare!
When you have oily skin, the struggle is real. Some say it is better to have oily skin than to have dry skin, as with oily skin the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles develop much later in life. But oily skin can be embarrassing especially when you’re at work with people around the whole day. Wearing makeup can make your skin extremely greasy and by the end of the day it looks like you have returned from a battlefield. - Another reason that may cause oily skin is stress and hormonal fluctuation. The hormone androgen is mainly responsible for producing excessive oil also known as sebum. The more sebum it produces, more oily the skin will be.
- Lifestyle is also another factor that causes oily skin. Be careful of your diet, what goes in your body reflects in your skin.
- Skipping moisturiser because you have oily skin may lead to an even more oily face. Regardless of your skin type never skip moisturising.

There are a variety of oils in the market that claims to be suitable for oily skin but there is no oil like our favourite, Jojoba. The oil is super lightweight, that will nourish and protect the skin without making it greasy. How to use Jojoba oil?
Use as a makeup remover
Jojoba oil is a great makeup remover, and that too without any chemicals. All you need to do is take a few drops of jojoba oil in a cotton pad and wipe over your face and neck to remove those stubborn waterproof makeup.
Can be used as a cleanser
It can simply be used as chemical free cleanser to remove dirt and excess oil from your skin. Take a couple of drops in your fingertips and massage all over face and neck. After sometime, wipe it with a clean cloth.
Use it as a moisturiser
People with oily skin are often in doubt about moisturising. Regardless of your skin type moisturising is a must. Jojoba oil is the perfect moisturiser for oily skin as it will maintain the oil production. Take 2-3 drops of pure jojoba oil and massage onto your face and let it absorb.
What to look for, while buying Jojoba oil?
It is really important to look out that the Jojoba oil you are using is free from added fragrance, colour pigments, mineral oil and preservatives.
Not all jojoba oils are equal. There can be low quality jojoba oil as well in the market, which may not do anything for your skin. Make sure you use 100% organic, cold pressed and unrefined jojoba oil. Make it a habit to read the ingredient list when you buy anything (be it food or personal care products).
